For over 15 years now, Carmen has been creating effortless looks for those seeking that "I didn't try" coolness.

She was trained in New Jersey before moving to the tropical paradise of Kauai, Hawaii where her entire perspective and approach to hairstyling were completely transformed. Her creations are a fusion of East Coast sophistication and punk, where the weird meets the minimalist with a naturalist, laid-back approach.

Carmen’s skillset ranges from sharp bobs to daring pixie cuts, with statement pops of color adding a dash of excitement. While the influences of the West Coast are also unmistakably reflected in her work, as soft shags, wispy bangs, and sun-kissed hair color that complement the relaxed island lifestyle. Inspiration can strike from a number of sources; movies, music, and the vibrant world of pop culture. Yet, it is the everyday people on the streets and clients she interacts with that she finds her greatest muse.

For Carmen, the joy lies in empowering her clients to embrace their individuality, confidently wearing their new styles in daily life.

So she is passionate about sharing personalized tips and tricks, ensuring that her clients not only feel fabulous leaving the salon but are also equipped to recreate their new looks “effortlessly.”

Outside of the salon doors, Carmen leads a completely different life.  She trades in her funky thrifted clothes and platform boots for an old t-shirt and pair of muck boots so she can help her husband around the hobby farm.  She spends most of her time off tending to sheep & chickens, taking her German Shepherd for long romps through to woods, and leaning over to ruin the suspension of disbelief in movies for her husband with her "hair savant syndrome" pointing out inconsistencies in the editing timeline based around what hair can and cannot do. Lastly, it’s the simple things in life that make her day.  A coffee, croissant, or plaintain chips.
